A couple of weeks ago we cook Sancocho on an open fire in our backyard. Sancocho is a Venezuela soup that has lots of vegetable (potatoes, carrots, pumpkins, corns, apio, plantain, and yucca) and beef ribs and chicken with its bones, please. It is seasoned with garlic, green onions, bell peppers and cilantro and of course salt. It’s cooked in a party (the party is to make the Sancocho). In Venezuela we celebrate special occasions (birthdays, graduations, farewells, life, Sundays, vacations, friends) with Sancocho. It’s particularly popular for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, when neighbors gather all the ingredients from their own kitchen and in a hubbub ceremony the Sancocho is cooked and feed neighbors, friends, family and whoever is passing by.
The adventure of making and enjoying a Sancocho is so enchanting that that’s how Nate wants us to celebrate our wedding in Venezuela next year one, we’ll see about that.
Our Sancocho party was a great success over 20 people came and they all loved it. Our 20 litter pot wasn’t enough and we had to start a second Sancocho in a much smaller pot on the stove.

Bueno, creo que tienes demasiado tiempo sin escribir algo nuevo en tu blog y que el por que de mi escrito es aun mas viejo, estaba buscando en google y puse " quiero ser escritora" porqu ene realidad anhelo serlo. el caso es que di con tu espacio y fue un alivio ver que algunas otras personas habían estado en mis zapatos hace tiempo. bueno solo buscando amistades patricia_al23 en un lugar hot. saludos.
